What started out in 1985 as a small company in Ratten (Steiermark) is now a model company and one of the best equipped companies in Austria in the metal sector.

The company Horn has been a competent partner in all matters concerning metal processing for more than 35 years. We process standard steel, stainless steel and special alloys to customer request. The manufacturing range covers cutting through welding work, mechanical machining, surface treatment up to complete plants and assembly.

The latest technical equipment, a clear organizational structure, a vast warehouse and motivated and ideally trained employees are the basis for quality and optimised delivery times. With the high-quality machine technologies and manufacturing processes, modern and tailored training of the skilled workers is especially important.
We currently provide jobs to about 100 employees. 12 apprentices are being trained to become metal technicians (machining or mechanical engineering technicians). We are pleased that women are also working in production as skilled workers or apprentices and have been able to hold their ground in the metal sector. Our skilled worker proportion is nearly 100% who mostly come from our own apprentice education. The training shop, completed in 2013, is one of the most modern in Austria and the apprenticeship education is our number one priority. We are convinced: “This is where our success begins.”
Our long-term corporate success is based on sustainable corporate leadership and is intended to be the cornerstone for future generations. We live sustainability from the company management to newly-starting apprentices in production.
