Microplasma Cutting

Microplasma cutting (fine jet plasma) is one of the various cutting technologies available. At HORN, cuts of up to 8000 x 2500 x 30 mm can be made. This cutting process is an alternative to laser cutting for large components and, above all, thick steel sheets, and can be used for engraving and marking workpieces (e.g., center punches, cut-out engravings). Typical materials that are cut using the microplasma cutting process are steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other conductive metals. Due to the very hot and localized cutting cone, this cutting process is helpful for sheets in curved or angled shapes.
